Frequently Asked Questions ::

a.) What are your prices?
~2000$ with out an album, ~3000$ with an album. Please send me an email stating what your needs are and I will be able to give you a personal quote.

1.) Will you be taking the photos at our wedding?
Yes, when you hire quan, that is indeed who you will receive.

2.) Are you a member of any associations or groups specific to the industry?

I can assure you that my equipments are top of the line. However, owning a nice camera does not make you a good photographer, it makes you a guy with a nice camera.

5.) Do you use an assistant? Is there an extra charge for this?
If I feel like an assitant is needed I will provide one free of cost to you, all you have to do is feed them. I do have second photographers available on some packages. You may also add them on to your package if you wish.

6.) Will there be backup equipment available? And what happens if the photographer is ill?
Yes, backup is a must. I have a backup for my backup as well. If I happen to be ill, I’ll try to the best of my ability to secure a photographer of the same caliber to cover your day.

7.) Can other people take photos while you are taking photos?

8.) Have you worked at our event locations before? How did it work out?
I’ve been to at least 40 different venues this past year, not once have I encounter a location that I am not able to handle. I pride myself in being able to shoot anywhere at anytime.

9.) Should our event last longer than scheduled, will you stay? Extra charge?
Additional hours will be available for 150$/hr

10.) How many photos come in each package?
An 8 hrs wedding will yield anywhere from 500~800 images. This will totally be dependent on your unique event.

11.) What types of photos will be taken (B/W, Color, Antiques, etc..)?
Everything will be in color. There will be a few b/w conversions if I think the photo will benefit from it.

12.) Will you accept of list from us, for specific photos to be taken?
Lists are fine, though please be reasonable and leave me some room to be creative :]

13.) What attire will you and your assistants wear?
Semi formal wear.

14.) How long after the event will the products be ready?
Previews are up in typically 2~3 weeks. DvD of images are sent out in 4~6 weeks. Albums are ready 3~4 weeks after you have confirmed them to print

15.) Do you design your albums?
Yes, all albums are designed by me personally. You will have a chance to decide on photos that goes in the album as well as make any necessary changes before it is sent out for print.

16.) Will you give us the negatives or what is the charge?
This will depend on your package.

17.) Does your service include videography?
I specialize in photography only.

18.) Will we receive an actual photo album with all the photos in it? And is that included in the price?
Your album will showcase highlight photos of your day. Album comes in different sizes, ea with their own pricing.

19.) How do you charge? Based on hours worked, flat rate, or product offered?
I charge according to the caliber of work I am able to deliver.

20.) Are we able to take some pictures before and some after the ceremony?
I will cover everything within the time frame of our contract agreement.

21)How long have you been in business?
I’ve been in business for a little more than 3 years

22)How many weddings have you shot?

I usually shoot 30+ wedding a year

23)How would you describe your working style?
I would describe my self as a visual story teller. When a viewer look at my photos I hope to bring them into the moment the photo was taken.

24)What do you think distinguishes your work from that of other photographers?
I came from a graphic design background, my work reflects that. I like to balance shapes, colors, lines, and shadows. My philosophy is to make images simple and bold.

25)Are you shooting in digital or film format or both?

26)What information do I need to provide you before the wedding day?
A time line, some basic location and contact information.

27)If my wedding site is out of your area, do you charge a travel fee and what does that cover? What about for engagement sessions–how far are you willing to go, and what about any additional charges?
If the location is more then 50 miles away from San Jose there will be a fee for travel.

28)What time will you arrive at the site and for how long will you shoot?
My typical wedding is around 8-10 hrs but of course this differs from each events.

29)Do you provide retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services?
Yes, all the delivered images will be color corrected and ready for print. I usually do heavier retouches if necessary for images that will go into the album.
